Though I have only been here a short time, I feel as though I am needed to tell the story of my past.
My given name is Wulfgar, but as a warrior I am called BloodedWolf.
I came here from a land to the north that is called Runding. The Land is desolate and barren but it is the land where I was born, so I love it.
My people are called Barbarians by "civilized people", but I tell you we are as civilized as you. We are also some of the fiercest warriors in the
world. My clan was called the
Viks, we were one of the more peaceful clans that lived in the Runding. Ours was one of the Sur, the leading clans among the Runding clans.
A council was finally called to decide what should be done about the lack of food being found in our country. Their seemed to be something that
was killing all the animals we used for food. It would gut them and leave the empty, decapitated carcass behind to rot. Which when we found it,
would, of course, be unsuitable for food. Eventuallly it got so bad that we were forced to try and use the carcasses, because there was nothing
else to be found for hundreds of miles. When we did, the ones that ate of it died within hours. My father, one of the members of the Viks
council, died also trying to get others to eat of it so we may survive. Trying to be an example he made my mother and brother eat of it to. Many
of my people starved, until when we called a council of all the clans, to decide what to do. They decided that our youngest, but most learned on
surviving, would be sent to look for a land in which was absent of this evil, in which we could survive as a whole.
Among the chosen was I, Wulfgar, although not among the fiercest warriors available, I was one of the best at surviving in the wilderness. There
were twenty of us chosen to leave, we were all told to search for a land or kingdom that was plentiful and had room for our dwindling, but still
large clans.
Only two of the twenty were ever heard from again. I was the second to return. After having spent a year searching, I found nothing suitable for
my people. The kingdoms were all waring and would have hated and fought with us if we moved anywhere near them. For, "you barbarians are
not civilized, you will only murder us and rape our land and women.", is all I ever heard from kings and nobles.
Upon return I found another warrior that had come back a week before I did. He was living in the ruins of what had been our mountain village.
My people were no where to be found. No bodies were anywhere, only signs of a massive battle that had raged for days. The other warrior's
name was Rothgar. He was driven mad, from not being able to die, helping protect our people. I stayed there trying to find what had murdered
all of my people and destroyed our lands. Wherever that evil had gone, and indeed it was gone because animals were returning, it hadn't left any
reamains behind, that would have told what it was or what it had done with my people.Striken with grief, I decided Rothgar would never be
sane again, so I left him in search of a land in which I could find this evil and destroy it.
This is how I came to the empire. I had heard of it's noble but humble warriors, and it's own struggle to survive. In my travels I had heard of a
great evil troubling the many realms of the south and decided it was my duty to my people to help destroy this evil.
I was attacked one night by a group of knights twisted by evil. They tried killing me for the pure pleasure of killing men. I would have been
destoyed if it hadn't been for a great man showing up and saving me.
That man was Pyros, Emperor of The Draconian Empire. He saved me and left, I was finally able to hear of who this man was, to whom my life
is bound to serving, from some traveling warriors. At once, I changed my course to head straight for the Empire, to the Glorious Capitol city of
Dragonspire.
On my way I met a noble warrior, who was also seeking a honorable and strong realm in which to serve as a warrior against evil, this man went
by the name of Scorpion. On our travels to the empire we became good friends and fought many times side by side against the evils of the land.
We also joined up with a fierce, but quiet warrior by the name of Sentencer. Of his past I know very little. But I do know he fights with the
power of ten men in the heat of
battle. I have seen him be covered in demons and yet come out unscathed.
Together we made our way to the home of the noble Emperor Pyros.
That was quite a while ago. Now I serve his highness as a baron of The Northern Reaches. I have chosen to make my home here for several
reasons. The first being, it reminds me a bit of my homeland. The second, I want to be the one defending our northern border, should this
unknown evil decide to "rape" my beloved Empire and the Reaches. Another reason being I have no clue where my people have gone. I plan on
traveling back to my homeland when I have a chance.
Thank you for the time you have took to allow me to speak about my past.
