Comforting Confrontation

Greetings brave knights from far and wide,
when in our lands have you no reason to hide.
You came in hurting, injured and bleeding,
without help, there is no chance in succeding.

Out swung the doors, revealing the halls,
Swords and armour and sheilds on the walls.
A ceiling as high as the sun could rise,
'tis truly magic to your weary eyes.

Out came a man with his sword drawn,
said "Did anyone follow you out there beyond?"
You say no sir and collapse on the ground,
the man calls loudly for the medic to be found.

You awaken in a warm, well lit room,
you thank the gods you haven't met your doom.
A servant fixes the pillows on your bed,
as you pull yourself up, pain shoots through your head.

The wound has healed with much needed rest,
as the Emperor says "You must go on a quest."
The armoury has supplied you what you need,
some armour, a sheild, and a sword of speed.

Though more to tell lies within,
my time, I'm afraid, is running thin.
Keep on thinking and writing as well,
for words are more powerful than any monster in hell.

THE END

Knight Captain of the Northern Reaches
