     WRITTEN BY : ELDAHIR

     PROLOGUE:

     -Life…how fragile it is.
     So easy to temper with.
     But why?
     Why her?!
She had done NO harm, not to anyone!
And thus SHE had to be punished…, Eldahir was so sad and furious that he started to cry.
     -There there my friend.
We all know that Lorelei was like an angel…it wasn’t about her.
You KNOW that ”The dark ones” are pityful and evil when it comes to vengeance…they couldn’t get to you so they went for her.
Kala is the source of everything that is pure and good but not even her powers can change the paths that ”the dark ones” take.
Evil and good has fought each other since the beginning of time, even before man was born.
The gods of good and evil can’t end this war by themselves and that’s what ”we”, habitants of this planet, are for.
Ever since ”man” was born, good and evil has fought for our souls…converting us either way.
Because WE have the power to seal their powers.
You’ve choosed the path of good, and because of that the dark side tries to destroy you…infact all of us that choosed the path of good.
But when they noticed that your soul and mind was to powerful to tamper with, they then went after somebody close to you.
The person they choosed was unfortunately Lorelei, your beloved wife, but just as much as you want to bury yourself in deep sorrow you have to retaliate by recovering from this terrible loss.
Show them that your mind and soul still are as strong as they were before.
Don’t let them get to you…stand up to them, destroy them, annihilate them…do whatever it takes just don’t surrender.
Because if you surrender the dark side has won yet another great soul and the good side suffers a great loss.
Saying these words to Eldahir, Klenthi almost started to cry himself but he kept it in for the simple reason of that he had to stay strong in front of Eldahir.
Eldahir sat, out in the open, crying over his loss…the loss of his wife.
He stayed out there for several days, just staring at the sky.
Thus it was winter and freezing cold outside, he just kept on staring at the sky and right next to him sat Klenthi…watching over him.
Klenthi and Eldahir sat there for six days and six nights until Eldahir stood up and said…
”May the star of the holy dragon shine upon all of us”
-What?!, Klenthi said with a very suprised voice.
He hadn’t spoken for 6 days and now he said this…
     -I said
”May the star of the holy dragon shine upon all of us”
I got to sieze the day…
     -And to do what?
Stop it Eldahir, you’re freaking me out.
-Im going away for a while my friend…
     -What?! Where?!
     -On a journey…
Klenthi noticed that Eldahirs eyes were empty and it looked like he was dead…staring straight forward at nothing.
-What kind of journey and where?
Klenthi started to get nervous and very worried about Eldahir.
     -I’ll be leaving now…
Eldahir started to walk away from Klenthi with firm steps.
-Please answer me…where are you going?
Klenthi placed his hand on Eldahir’s shoulder to stop him from leaving, but as soon as he touched him he got a bad feeling.
As if the cries from Eldahir’s soul went through his shoulder and into Klenthi’s hand, Eldahir stopped and turned slowly around with his eyes closed.
Now they were just facing each other, Klenthi with his worried look on his face and Eldahir with his calm face.
But things were about to become even more complex, when Eldahir opened his eyes he also drawed his sword, swinging once at Klenthi’s head…thus the attack was very easy to dodge it could infact have killed Klenthi.
Klenthi dodged the attack and drawed his sword with no other reason but to defend himself.
In shock Klenthi dodged another attack from Eldahir, not knowing why his friend had begun to attack him.
As Eldahir charged against Klenthi, trying to kill him but with no success, Klenthi got tired of all this and fired a fireball towards Eldahir to get him out of balance and maybe to get him to stop attacking him.
Eldahir was thrown five to ten meters away by the immense power of the surprising fireball.
He got up on his feet in no time and vanished in black smoke before Klenthi even had a chance to blink.
Klenthi was now alone on the field, on which they sat on for several days.

CHAPTER 1:

It has now been two months since Eldahir vanished.
Klenthi has travelled to Dragonspire in hope to find someone that could help him find his friend.
There he stood in front of the big gates which were closed due to nightfall.
Klenthi knocked on the gate made of solid oak and it gave of a hollow sound.
”Who’s there?” a guard shouted out from atop the great gate wall.
     -Hail!
Im sorry to disturb you in this late hour but I’d like to enter our magnificent capital.
My name is Klenthi Luthera…I’m the duke of Enchantica.
One of the guards looked at the other guard and said
”He he he…and I’m Pyros; the imperial majesty”
-Maybe you should watch your tongue a little…you shouldn’t talk that way about our majesty, said Klenthi with a very calm and firm voice.
     -Yeah?!
Well, I talk as much as I want and about whatever I want.
-Hmm, maybe you should take a look at this, and see if you still are willing to stand for what you’ve just said.
Then Klenthi took of his red cape, which protects him from cold weather, revealing a medallion around his neck.
The medallion is a sign of dukeship in Enchantica, and has passed on to each and every duke of Enchantica.
When seeing this, the guards faces turned red and they started to stutter not knowing what to say that could fix the situation.
-Now let me in, Klenthi said with a firm and slightly irritated voice.
     -Y…Y…Yes…of…course, your grace.
     -Thx…
-And sorry for our foolishness…we beg for your forgiveness.
The two guards opened the gates and Klenthi walked through saying only ”Just don’t do it again”.
Klenthi was somewhat tired because of his long trip from Enchantica.
So he thought he would spend the night at an local inn.
Klenthi knew exactly which inn he would go to, the Enian Inn.
The owner and Klenthi’s friendship goes long back so he thought he could take some advantage of this and to get some free ale while he were at it.
He opened the door with a big smile on his face only to be greeted with a god awful stench.
Klenthi grinned and covered his face immediatly as he entered the inn.
He looked around and saw that the once warm and cozy inn, he had spent so much time in when he was younger, had turned into a hangout for alcoholics and scum.
In front of him was a counter, to the right there was a big room with many tables and chairs, occupied with nothing else than drunk men, and to the left of him there was a smaller room with more descent people.
As he looked into the smaller room he noticed a kind of mysterious, but nevertheless more normal person, in contrary to the drunken fools in the right room.
There were about eight drunken fools in the right room, screaming and making very much noise, and only two persons in the smaller room to the left, a pretty young girl and a mysterious man.
The mysterious man had a big blue and green cape covering his entire body, but more important the face.
But Klenthi had other things to think and deal with so he went to the counter to get a room.
At the counter he noticed a bell on the desk so he gave it a little flick and it let off a clinging sound.
”Coming! Im Coming!” shouted a man from a room behind the counter that looked like a storage room.
-Well, if it isn’t my old pal Klenthi Luthera, the man recognized Klenthi and gave him a big warm hug.
-Uhh..ahh…take it easy Enian, I can’t breathe…your hugging me to tight.
-Ooo, sorry Klenthi, so how are you? and what have you been up to?
-Well, since I was here the last time I’ve gotten promoted to Duke of Enchantica.
-WOW! Way to go Klenn boy!
But you must have much hard job in front of you, because I have heard that the ”dark legions” has almost destroyed the entire forest.
-Yeah it’s…to say the least devasting…but I’m doing my best to get rid of the evil in Enchantica.
-Good to hear and good luck to you…by the way, what are you doing in Dragonspire?
-Well I’m not here for fun, that much can I say…my baron and one of my best friends have disappeared.
So I saddle my horse and rode to Dragonspire in hope to find some help or some clues to where he might be.
     -Sounds serious…what’s his name?
I could ask around for you.
-His name is Eldahir and it would be great if you could do that.
-No problem Klenthi, you have saved me from countless hardships.
I’m in debt to you forever…
-He he he, it’s ok, you’re not in debt to me…but I would like to ask you for a favour.
     -Yeah, sure anything for you.
-I would like to spend the night here…
-What?…of course! I’ll give you food and ale too if you want.
-Well, I have never been able to say no to free ale.
-Thought so, said Enian with a large smile on his face.
Just sit down at the tables in the small room, because there’s only drunks in the bigger room.
-Ok…how come you have so many drunkards?
-What can I say…it’s depression for many people and they think ale is the answer.
-Hmm, ok but I’ll go sit down at a table now, by the way make the ale a double.
-Sure thing, Enian said, turned around and walked into the supply room.
Klenthi walked into the small room and sat down at a table next to the one that the mysterious man sat at.
He couldn’t help to be curious of who the man was.
As he sat there thinking of what he should do the next morning some drunkards stepped up to the table next to him.
-….Ohh look at this beautiful little girl….burp….uhh…, said one of the drunkards that also sat down next to the young girl.
-Please go away, sir , said the young girl.
     -burp….hick….why?…why don’t you give me a little….burp…kiss?
you’re sooooo…hick……cute and you’ve got a nice little body…, saying this the drunkard started to fiddle on the girl.
-No!…get your hands of me mister!…I DONT WANT TO!
Klenthi saw all this and was now filled with anger and he decided to go over and tell them to leave the girl alone.
But before he got the chance to stand up the mysterious man stood up and revealed a bow which he had hidden.
He fired an arrow right next the drunkards foot to scare him.
-What! What are you doing! Are you crazy!…burp…I’m going to kick your ass!, shouted one the four drunkards.
-Leave her alone, said the mysterious man and pulled back his cape revealing the face.
Hearing this Klenthi got really suprised and he just stared at the mysterious man because the voice of the man wasen’t male…but female.
And he also recognized who it was, and it was noone other then Velera; a baroness in the coastlands.
-I will only say it one more time.
Leave her alone , said Velera with a firm voice.
     -Or what?….you’re only a girl…burp…you can’t harm us…hick....you’re puny.
And the four drunkards charged against her brawling like bulls.
But with a simple somersault Velera avoided their foolish and clumsy attack.
She armed her bow and fired off three arrows, one went into one of the drunkards foot, the other one struck the bum of one of them and the last arrow hit and went through the arm of another drunkard.
The drunkards screamed like pigs….trying to let the pain of the arrows out.
But one of them didn’t get an arrow in him so he charged against Velera and got her into a chooke hold but she simply stamped on his foot and let her elbow meet his face.
With a big thump the drunkard fell to the floor.
Klenthi just sat at his table with his mouth open in astonishment…he had never seen anyone fight so gracefully as Velera did.
”Hmm, she would be perfect….hope she’s willing to help me”, Klenthi thought for himself.
Just this minute two guards entered the inn, asking what happened.
Velera explained the whole situation to the guards and after hearing that they dragged the drunkards out of the inn.
”Very well done my friend” , Klenthi said to Velera with a big smile on his face.
-Thank you sir…and who do I have the honour of talking to?
     -Klenthi Luthera.
-Oh, sorry my grace for not recognizing you! Velera now bowed before Klenthi.
-Geez….please stand up Velera…I’m to tired for all this rank crap.
With a smile on her face, Velera stood up and brushed of her clothes.
-Do you want some ale, dear baroness?
     -That would be fine…dark ale?
-Yeah it’s dark ale….just like the one we have in Enchantica.
-Great…., Velera took a sip from the cag, so what brings you to Dragonspire?
-I’m…, Remembering that Velera and Eldahir are really close friends he asked Velera to sit down.
Ok, it’s like this…Eldahir has disappeared without any trace…and I fear that his life may be in serious danger.
Klenthi also told the whole story about how Eldahir vanished.
After hearing this Velera just sat there…staring straight forward…her eyes started to get real moisty as if she would brake into tears at any moment, but as strong as she is, she held it in.
-So you don’t have any clues of where he might have gone?
-No, I’m sorry Velera…but I will do anything to find him.
That’s the reason why I came to Dragonspire…to find help, and I hoped to find it here.
-….You can count me in, I’ll help you and together we’ll find him.
-Thank you very much Velera…what do you say about getting some rest, so we can start looking for him early tomorrow morning?
     -Sounds like a good idea….
Before going to sleep they prayed to Kala, in hope that she would help them in their quest.
Only Kala knew what the future had intended for them.

CHAPTER 2:

It's daybrake and in the east the sun starts to rise as the first sunrays hits Draconia.
Klenthi awakens by heat due to the fact that not a single window is open in his room.
He put his clothes on and walked down the corridor and knocked on Velera’s door…”Weird, Klenthi thinks”…seems that noone is there.
Due to morning stupidity, the thought of Velera already awaken never crossed his mind.
When he later on saw her standing by the counter, fully dressed and armed, he got really suprised, standing once again with his mouth open in astonishment.
-Why do you always freeze and open your mouth like that, Klenthi? Velera asked with a giggle.
Klenthi shook his head and said ”he he he he, I’m sorry Velera…I’m just a little bit tired”
     -It’s ok…now let’s get going dukie!
-Ok, I’m all done….I would like to thank you Enian for you allowing me to sleep here.
-No problem…It’s not really common that you have a duke AND a baroness staying over at the same time!
Saying this, Enian started to laugh real loud…sounding almost like a horse.
     -Let’s get going now Velera…
-He he he, yeah let’s do that…I think I’m getting deaf by Enians laughter.
They leaved the inn and before them laid a long day of searching and investigating.
-So, where do we start Klenthi?
-I….don’t have a clue….hmm…how about visiting the castle and ask somebody there?
-If you do that I could ask around…maybe the townspeople knows something.
-Ok, let’s meet here in three hours.
Velera and Klenthi went seperate ways in their search for information…
Klenthi fought the extreme heat wave that had struck Dragonspire today , wearing a lot of armor and weapons he was sweating a lot and had a difficult time getting to the castle.
Finally there, he noticed a stable at the foot of the castle…being all sweaty, steamy and hot, he decided to do something radical….he actually dipped his head into the horses drinking water.
-Sigh…ahhh…..that felt good…, as he turned around he noticed several townspeople staring at him so he put his helmet on and entered the castle.
The Dragonspire castle was really something special, because it was built and decorated by the worlds most famous architects and intreprenours.
It was breathtaking to see all that fine craftmanship, which Klenthi discovered due to his eye for architecture.
Klenthi walked through the big and long halls until he came to a big gate, which was guarded by three soldiers.
The room that laid behind the doors he had come to, was the council room where the important matters of the empire are discussed.
As Klenthi got closer to the council room, the three guards crossed their weapons to show that he wasen’t allowed to enter the room, but Klenthi just showed them his medallion and they let him pass.
The three guards slowly started to open the doors and as the gates were opening, Klenthi noticed that there already was already people in there, obviously with other matters to discuss.
However, as he entered they stopped talking and all of them bowed before him, except one man who was approaching him.
The man was wearing a fine armor with a crimson cape, which were both very fine ornated, Klenthi immediately assumed that this man was of pretty high rank.
-Greetings…due to the medallion, I assume that you are duke Klenthi of Enchantica.
     Am I right?
He spoke with a dark and harsh voice, but also with a dialect that Klenthi couldn’t really figure out.
-Yes…He is me and I am him.
You have to excuse me, but I don’t really know who you are…
-I’m the newly elected praetor, Sir Calland.
I’m not blaming you for not knowing who I am…the only way I could know who you were was the medallion, because I know that it’s passed on from duke to duke.
With a smile Klenthi answered; -Well, now it all makes sense…I knew that the dialect was familar, unless I’m misinformed, you’re from Nova Q’Lynnesti, aren’t you?
     -Good guess…I’m impressed.
Let’s get down to business, what brings you here?
-Im searching for my baron ; Eldahir.
He disappeared without a trace as a result of some incidents.
I believe he is in grave danger, so I came here in hope to find clues or people that could help me in the search.
-Hmm, said Calland while scratching his beard.
This doesn’t sound good…this doesn’t sound good at all.
Have you found any clues or help?
-Unfortunately no clues, however I have got help in the form of Velera; a baroness from the Coastlands.
-Well that’s good, she’s an exellent fighter and she will not let you down.
By the way where is she?
-She’s outside talking to townspeople, questioning them in hope to get some clues or ideas of where Eldahir may be.
-And you came here in hope to find help?
The thing is that there’s noone that can help you right now, because of the Ironman week.
     -Ironman week?
-Yeah, it’s when all of the soldiers are training…their swordskill, stamina, endurance, speed…you name it.
And I would help you but, because I’m fairly newly elected, I got a lot of things to tend to.
     Im sorry my friend.
     -Just my luck.
But that’s alright, thank you for your time anyway, your emminence.
-No problem, and may Kala be with you in your search.
The two of them shook hands and Klenthi left the room.
He went to meet Velera as he had promised.
But while Klenthi had been visiting the council, Velera had been searching the streets for clues.
As soon as they went separate ways, Velera started to ask townspeople, bar owners, guards, priests mainly everyone she met, with no results.
Noone had heard or seen anything unusual but as she stood there talking to a stableboy, she noticed a man standing in an alley right next to her.
She thanked the stableboy for his help and thought she could take a look to see who the person hiding in the shadows was.
As she got closer she noticed that the man was very filthy and he also seemed hurt, Velera assumed that it was just a homeless person or a drunkard.
But keen to help the man if he was hurt she decided to approach him even more.
”Stop where you are!” the man said with a hissing and firm voice, surely influenced by his tiredness and hunger.
-You seem hurt, I just want to help you.
-I don’t need any help…besides, how could I be sure that you, a imperial knight, wont try to take me inn, deceive me?
-What? What do you mean? Are someone after you?
Velera now got the feeling that this man couldn’t be a ”regular” person.
-So you’re trying to play dumb?
Well it’s not going to work on me.
     -What’s your name?
     -Non of your concerne!
     -This is ridiculous.
Velera drew a dagger that she had hidden under her tunic.
     Now let’s begin!
-?!? He he he he as I thought.
May the best man win…ehumm…woman or man.
Then he drew his weapon which, was a staff with a razor edge on the top.
First they just walked around in circles, feeling each other out.
But that would soon be changed because of a charge made by the man which Velera easy dodged.
     -Hmm you’re good…
But feel this! The man waved his fingers and summoned a golem to his help.
-Ha! You think you can beat me with that?!
     Please!
     Look and learn…
Velera put her hands together and mumbled a spell which shattered the golem.
     -?!?!
     -As I said…piece a cake.
-Ok enough of this childs play.
The man hit Velera in the stomach with his staff and while she was bent over in pain, he kneed her in the face.
     Velera shouted out in pain.
-Now give up…I don’t really want to fight you!
     Stay down!
But Velera stood up and wiped off the blood on her lips.
-Hiya!, Velera shouted as she did a somersault positioning herself behind the man and kicking him in the back.
     -Ahh! Shit! Not bad thou.
-….., Velera was now pretty mad.
She sweeped him and dealt out a blow to his face as she positioned herself astride the man.
     -Now you talk!
If you don’t I’ll give you another beating.
-He he he darn you’re a good fighter.
     Ok I will talk.
My name is Schaffer and I’m a former knight of Nova Q’Lynnesti.
     -Former?
     -Yes, former.
Someone framed me for several things.
Why I don’t know but anyway I’m on the run.
By the way could you please let me stand up.
     -Oh sorry.
There you go, she said as she helped him up.
-Well…there’s not much more to it.
Who are you by the way?
I would like to know the name of the person who can kick my ass, he he he
-Ha ha ha I’m Velera; baroness of Coastlands.
     -Oh!
     I’m so sorry my lord.
Hmm wait…you can’t say ”lord” to a woman, what do you want me to call you?
     -Velera is just fine.
     -Ok
     Pleased to meet you Velera.
So if you’re from Coastlands, that would mean that you’re a bit from home?
     What brings you here?
Velera explained the whole situation and how they need clues and help and without hesitating Schaffer kneeled before her and offered his services.
-I’m a lawless knight with nowhere to go and I’m not that bad in magics or in the art of figthing.
Velera thought long and hard but she came to the conclusion, ”Why not? We need all the help we can get”.
     -Great!
So, when do we leave? And where are we heading?
-First of all we’re heading to the Enian Inn to meet Klenthi.
-Ok, it will be a pleasure to meet the duke.
Schaffer and Velera now started to walk towards the Inn and also Klenthi was on his way there.
When the three of them met up, they exchanged occurrences with eachother of what had happened to them.
After that Klenthi decided that they should head back to Enchantica in hope to find any new clues there or perhaps clues even on their way through Enchantica forest.
They packed their things and headed of to Enchantica, leaving the capital behind them.

CHAPTER 3:

After a few hours of walking they decided to set up camp to get some rest.
They slept like babies until they were woken up by a big bang.
-What was that?, Klenthi asked with a worried voice.
     -Let’s check it out.
It’s glowing over there! Schaffer said while he pointed in the direction of nothing but trees.
-Schaffer and Velera, let’s go and you be careful now you hear?
     They all nodded in consent.
The three of them started to walk towards the light from deep within the woods and as they got closer they noticed they weren’t alone.
A hissing and dark chanting was heard echoing through the forest, and the source of it was right where they were heading.
When they got there the chanting and the light just stopped and not a sound could be heared.
Not even the voices of our heroes could be heared…it was like in vacuum, where they were standing except for the fact that they could breath.
And they also noticed that in a little creek they were standing next to, the water was flowing upstreams.
Suddenly out of thin air a character, surrounded with purple light, appeared and with a hissing and dark voice he said ”Ha ha ha, so you pathetic human think that your powers will make a difference when the powers of the dark ones are involved?”
     -It’s Eldahir!!!
Oh no! He must be possessed!!!,Velera shouted.
     -Argh!
So you say we are the weak and pathetic ones?!
If we are so weak, why haven’t you been able to defeat good?!
     I’ll tell you why!
You have no real power, the only power you have is the one to affect weak minded!
And you are afraid of us who are ”simple” humans, fighting for good, because WE can defeat you!
You’re all cowards…you’re the pathetic ones!
     Prepare to die demon!!!
Saying this Klenthi drew his big sword and screaming in hatred he charged against the demon who’d taken over Eldahir’s body.
But when Klenthi was but a few meters away the demon vanished, leaving our heroes alone yet again with no clue what so ever of where he had gone.
     -Ahhh! God damnit!
     -Calm down Klenthi…
     We WILL find him again.
Our quest and obligations to our friend Eldahir will not be broken and we WILL find him.
You, me and Schaffer will succeed in finding Eldahir….
That night neither of the three could sleep very well, they just tossed back and forth under their coatings made of animal furs.
The next morning Velera and Klenthi was awakened by Schaffer quite abruptly.
-What, what is it?, Klenthi asked and rubbed his eyes.
-Yaaaaaawn! Huh? What is it Schaffer?
-I think I know where the demon is!
-What? Where?, Velera and Klenthi said almost in choir.
-Last night when we encountered the demon,I saw that the purple light surrounding him infact was a reflection of something.
I saw that there was some kind of construction in the background.
     -Construction?
Klenthi, do you know of any temples, shrines or any other kind of buildings that exists in Enchantica?
-Well, there exists quite a large amount of them and we can’t visit them all.
If you want me to identify it you have to give me a description of it.
-Hmm…All I can remember is that it had two black eagles on it that were facing each other….ohh, and I also remember that the surrounding trees were all black, like they were burnt.
-That must be the ”The shrine of the unfaithful”…because it’s situated in a place that hasen’t recovered from the siege of the monsters.
It’s kinda far but let’s go there, it’s in the far eastern part of Enchantica.
-Ok, you heard the man Schaffer, let’s move out…he he he.
Their venture to the eastern part of Enchantica had now begun and they all knew that it was quite a bit for them to travel.
But within two weeks they had reached their goal and they were all now pretty tired, altough they set up camp regularly and got their daily brake, the trip had made it’s marks.
So they were all pretty happy that they had reach their target, but there was noone there so they decided to set up camp in hope that it’ll appear later that night.
Their hopes were answered because just as they hoped, it appeared later that night.
Chanting as before the demon said ”You pathetic humans are starting to get on my nerves…Prepare to be annihilated!”
-Ok, this is what we have been waiting for!
Schaffer you go around and take it from the back, Velera you attack from the left, and I’ll take the front.
Let’s defeat it and bring back Eldahir!
”Muhahahah! So you still think you can defeat me?! Muhahahah! Feel my wrath!” The demon waved it’s fingers and fired of a spell that sent a electric wave through Schaffer, Velera and Klenthi, sending them flying into the woods.
They all got hurt but kept attacking the demon which time after time knocked them to the ground.
     -Ahhh!
How are we gonna defeat this guy?! Schaffer screamed to the others.
-Why don’t we combine our powers?Velera requested.
-Yeah and I know the perfect way…stand next to me so that we form a triangel.
I know an old Enchantican spell that will combine our willpower and send of a beam through my medallion.
This spell is severely difficult to perform so you all gotta be strong or it will destroy you instead.
The three of them situated themselves into position and they started to follow Klenthi’s lead.
-Muahahaha! What are you fools trying to do?! the demon chuckled.
”Meravcia nosdudent arenia THYBA!” Klenthi chanted and the other repeated it.
And from the sky a single ray of light lit up the spot that they were standing on and Klenthi’s medallion started to glow exremely bright.
”THYBA!”, shouted Klenthi once again and a green beam flew out of the medallion and struck the demon.
The demon screamed loudly and got thrown a few meters back but shortly after that, it rose.
-ARGGHHHHHH! THIS WILL COST YOU DEARLY!!!! I WILL CRUSH YOU!!!
     SUTICA HARIA MIIREA SATANICA!!
The demon shouted loudly and waved his fingers to fire of a powerful spell, but before he had a chance to finish it, a voice echoed; ”Attack him with your weapons….Attack it now!”.
It was Eldahir speaking from within the demon.
Somehow the spell that they had fired of must have released some of Eldahir’s powers, so that he now was able to brake free a little from the demon.
-What?!? ARHHG! I CAN’T MOVE! The demon shouted as it tried to move.
-What are we waiting for?!?! Attack!
Come on now, Velera and Klenthi!
They charged against the demon with their weapons before them.
Velera stabbed the demon with a dagger right by it’s ribs, Schaffer’s scimitar like weapon petruded the demons back and went out at the front and Klenthi thrusted his big sword right into it’s chest.
The demon let of a loud scream filled with pain, agony and hatred and with a bright light he left the body of Eldahir.
The wounds that they had inflicted on infact Eldahir’s body healed immediately but he was still hurt and tired due to the possessing by the demon.
Eldahir just fell down and started to shiver on the ground, Velera rushed forth and kneeled by Eldahir’s side, putting him in her lap.
-Everything is alright now Eldahir…it’s alright…you’re out of harms way.
Just take your time to recover…, Velera said with tears in her eyes.

EPILOGUE:

It had now been two months since the three of them fought the demon in the woods.
Eldahir had a hard time recovering from the physic and psychic injuries, but after a long time in bed he recovered fully.
Under that time Schaffer, Velera and Klenthi stood right by him, looking over him like guardians.
It took him about a month to recover from his injuries and when he opened his eyes, for the first time after the fight in the woods, he said ”I knew the dragon Gods would watch over me…”.
     -Ohh my God!
Schaffer! Klenthi! Get in here, he has awaken!, Velera shouted full of joy.
     -I can’t believe it!
Welcome back my baron! Klenthi yelled.
-How are you feeling Eldahir? Schaffer asked with deep concern.
-Like something have sucked out all of my energy and left me with nothing.
But it sure feels good to be ”back”…
-And we all love to have you back Eldahir.
Surely you need to get some more rest so we’ll leave you alone for a while, Klenthi said as he and the others left the room.
Before going to sleep, Eldahir prayed to the Gods thanking them for sparing his life.
A month later Eldahir was ready to leave the Dragonspire castle and head back home to Enchantica.
-So doesn’t it feel good to breath clean and clear air, Eldahir?, Velera asked with a smile.
-It sure does…however you could spare me the smell from the stables…HA HA HA HA!!
-He he he he! Crazy as ever, Velera said while laughing.
-Well it’s great that you’re feeling better…but pressing matters in Enchantica leaves me no room to celebrate so I’ll begin my journey back to Enchantica and you can come when you’re ready, Klenhi said not so happy about the fact that he has to leave so soon.
-Thank you Klenthi I really appreciate it…I’ll join you in Enchantica in a matter of days.
-Ok…take it easy now you hear.
Velera don’t let him drink to much ale.
He he he…Goodbye Velera and thank you for your help and I’ll be seeing you soon Eldahir, saying this Klenthi hopped on his horse and started to ride away.
-He he he well I’ll try to keep his noose out of the the keg at least!
Bye and don’t worry about me helping…anything for you!
     -Bye my duke!, yelled Eldahir.
So…now it’s only you and me left…hmm by the way where is Schaffer?
-Don’t really know, he said he had some things to take care of but I told him to meet us at the Enian Inn.
That day the three of them had a lot of fun together, drinking ale and celebrating.
Eldahir, Velera and Schaffer continued to celebrate for about four days until it was time for Eldahir to return to Enchantica.
They all now went their seperate ways.
Velera returned to the Coastlands, Eldahir traveled back to Enchantica and Schaffer stayed in the imperial capital.
Eldahir however didn’t get to feel good for a minute more, because as soon as he got back to Enchantica he recieved the tragic news that Klenthi had died trying to rid Drak Yardok castle of monsters.
He mourned the death of Klenthi quite some time but he knew that Klenthi wanted the best for Enchantica and the best for Enchantica was for Eldahir to take his responsabilities, as the new appointed duke of Enchantica.
One of the first things that Eldahir did was to contact Schaffer, who he by the way found in Enian Inn drunk like hell, and asked him if he was interested in joining him in Enchantica.
Schaffer looked long and hard on Eldahir and finally answered: ”If you really want me…but…hic!…what do you want me for…hic!…Do you really think I’m of any use?”
Eldahir then quickly responded with: ”Don’t talk like you are nobody…you’re a honourfull and noble man.
I believe you when you say that you’re not responsible for those thing that you got framed for in Nova Q’Lynnesti.
The rank I had in mind for you was for you to be my bloodknight.
     So what do you say?
     Is it a deal?”
Schaffer couldn’t do much more then to stutter out: ”Yes…yes…I w..w…would very….m….much want that.”
The night after that one they traveled back to Enchantica together, side by side.
”Lesson to be learned from this is that you should live each day as if it would be your last, but also that you should cherish your dear and close friends because you never know when something could happen to them”
