Auric the Golden King
was the founder of the Draconian Order (also
known as the First Dynasty of of Draconia), the
predecessor guild to
the Empire of Draconia. He was the builder and destroyer of the first Dragonspire
Keep. We call him
"Auric the Mad" because
it was he who began the Draconian Revolution. Yet, before you hate this
man, remember that without
him, none of us would
be together today.
Scarlus the General
was the companion of Auric the Mad, and with
him helped forge the Draconian Order. He was a mighty
leader, but no word
has been heard from him since the Draconian Revolution.
Valiant the Just
was among the original members of the Draconian
Order, and was a High Lord of that organization. He is the
current patriarch of
the House of Val, and has been the Chancellor of Draconia since Pyros Haldir
became Emperor. Valiant
was the first Duke of
Enchantica, and he was present during the Fall of Drak Yardok. He was also
the commander of the army
that retook that very
city, liberating Enchantica of the Darkness. Currently he resides in Dragonspire
Keep.
Cryos, the Keeper
of the Ancients
was the first Duke of the Northern Reaches upon
the conception of the Empire. He was an
ancient sorceror that
was entrusted with caring for the last dragon eggs left in the world since
the Ice Age. None know if he was
successful in that task,
for he disappeared only a year after being named Duke. Some say he was
killed by the Sorceress of the
Wastes.
Guyver of Kalthorne
was a High Lord of Draconia during the first
dynasty. In the Draconian Revolution, he aided Pyros by
providing his navy,
which helped link the western coast together. Upon Pyros' coronation, Guyver
was made the first Duke of
the Coastlands, as well
as the Lord of the Sea. He commanded the navies of Draconia until his death
in the faraway land of
Khanduras at the head
of a legion to aid the Alliance in the Tristram Campaign.
Frosty the Bard
was the first poet laureate of Draconia. During
the first dynasty, he was a knight that fought with words of
peace instead of swords
of war. Some of his work can be seen in the original Dragonspire page.
He was one who heartened the
people with his songs
and his very presence. Sadly, he perished during the chaos of the Draconian
Revolution.
Onaeus the First Prophet
was once a Lord in the First Dynasty. Upon the
ascendency of Pyros, he became the Praetor of
Draconia, as well as
the first Duke of Nova Q'lynnesti. He was the creator and the first Patriarch
of the Druidic Order, a
society of priests dedicated
to recording the history and writing the stories of the guilds. He held
all these positions until the
end of the Purging of
Enchantica. He is credited with the creation of the duchy system, most
draconian customs and etiquette,
amd much of the early
history of the Empire. He was trapped in the Window of Souls for six Draconian
years, then he was
released and took the
Fathership of the Draconian Circle for a time. He perished facing Mephistos
during the Third War of
Westmarch.
Pyros the Lawgiver
was once the High Magistrate (a position combining
elements of the praetorship and chancellorship of
today) of the Draconian
Order (Otherwise known as the First Dynasty). During the Draconian Revolution,
and the ensuing
Dark Ages, Pyros was
the man who held toagether the spirit of the people, and was declared Emperor
of Draconia. He has
since engineered most
of the laws of Draconia, and rebuilt Dragonpsire from the ashes of civil
war. He now resides in the
Imperial Palace in Dragonspire
City.
Stein the Champion
was the greatest warrior to ever walk the fertile
lands of Draconia. A mere soldier for Pyros during the
Draconian Revolution,
he quickly rose to become the first Duke of the Lakelands when the war
was won. His prowess at
combat was legendary,
and led to his being named "Champion of the Empire". In his honour, the
title has never been used
since. His short but
glorious life ended when the darkness first enveloped Enchantica. He went
to the forest to slay the Master
of the Darkness, and
so perished in its vast uncharted tracts.
Darkar of Kala
was the first sworn paladin of the Goddess of
Light. Early in the second generation, he was befriended by
Onaeus, and helped the
old druid build the City of Soliath, becoming the first Baron of Soliath.
He became the first
bloodknight, binding
his blood to that of Onaeus, becoming his sworn protector. Eventually,
he rose to become the second
Duke of the Coastlands,
where he began the construction of temples and libraries. Sadly, the mighty
paladin perished in battle
during the Purging of
Enchantica. His weapon, the holy Solic Mace, is now enshrined in the Great
Temple of Soliath.
Grey_Eagle the Vigilant
was once a member fo the Knights of Truth. After
the fall of that illustrious order, he journeyed to
Draconia, where his
noble actions made him the first Baron of Drak Tauros under the guidance
of Stein. Upon the duke's death
during the Darkening
of Enchantica, Grey_Eagle became the second Duke of the Lakelands. His
accomplishments in this
capacity included strenghening
the border with Westmarch, inducting many new knights into the legions
of Draconia, and
training those same
warriors to be just and noble servitors of the crown. However, as happens
with many knights at some point
in their lives, Kala
called upon hims to give up his earthly trappings, and wander the world
as a pilgrim of Light.
Wulfgar the Guardian
also known as the Blooded Wolf, was a tribesman
from beyond the Reaching Mountains until his
chieftains instructed
him to go forth to the south and explore the world. The first land he came
upon was Draconia, and he
immediately fell in
love. He became a mighty knight in the north, and eventually became the
baron of the city that he himself
had founded, Tol Brandir.
Wulfgar was instrumental in bringing many dozens of brave knights into
the legions of Draconia, and
he in fact was among
the foremost of the Guardians. He served bravely in the Purging of Enchantca,
and was one of the heroes
of the Sorceress War.
Since the beginning of the Third War of Westmarch, he had become the third
Duke of the Northern
Reaches, then the third
Praetor of the Draconian Empire.
Calland the Farsighted
began his distinguished career as a Knight of
Nova Q'lynnesti. In time, his wise words and gentle actions
led him to become the
Baron of Soliath upon Lord Darkar's promotion. He served in this capacity
for some time, governing the
Holy City well until
the Purging of Enchantica began. The then-Duke of Nova Q'lynnesti, Onaeus,
departed at the head of an
army, and did not come
back. Calland thus inherited Onaeus' titles, becoming the Draconian Praetor
as well as the Duke.
Calland was a good duke,
but he was also the mightiest praetor to ever serve in the High Council.
His efforts brought so many
unseen boons to the
Empire that we will be feeling the effects of his actions for an eternity
to come. He departed the realm
soon after the Sorceress
War, having been called upon by Kala in the same manner as Grey_Eagle.
However, soon Draconia
called back to him,
and he returned to take up the reigns as the Chief Ambassador of the Empire
Pug the Mirthful
was a Lord of Draconia in the First Dynasty.
After the Draconian Revolution had ended, he was one of those
warriors who went to
the north to help establish the borders of the new empire. Soon, the Keeper
disappeared, and Pug was
named the second Duke
of this lonely Duchy. His long reign lasted until his peaceful death in
his bed, a scant week before the
eruption of the Third
War of Westmarch.
Klenthi of Drak Yardok
had the misfortune to become the second Duke
of Enchantica at the time that the darkness had
enveloped the duchy,
thus leaving him with no realm to rule. Undaunted, he was one of the foremost
commanders in that
campaign, earning him
the respect of many of the older lords in the aristocracy. His great achievement
was the rebuilding of
Drak Yardok, and of
making Enchantica a duchy to rival all the others. For years, this great
lord had been thought dead on a
quest involving a sword
of power, but he has since quietly returned, and now resides as an advisor
in the court of the Duke of
Enchantica.
Midnight of Nala
was once a great member of the Obsidian Knights
until the disbanding of that Order. He arrived in Draconia,
guided by Wulfgar the
Guardian. He was soon knighted, and quickly rose to become the first Baron
of Drak Lelwyn, the Jewel
of the South. Upon the
departure of Grey_Eagle, Midnight became the third Duke of the Lakelands.
The image of the
battle-wary Lakelands
softened under his reign, becoming more of a centre of culture than a centre
of war. His great
accomplishments include
the founding of the Academy of Knights, the Museum of Art and History,
the Winter Solstice
Festival, and now the
revival of the Order of Nala with the Sanctuary of Spirits. During the
Third War of Westmarch, Nala the
Dark Goddess touched
him for too long, and he had been captured by the forces of Darkness.
Gates the Faithful
arrived from Westmarch shortly after the Purging
of Enchantica, was knighted shortly after. He became the
Baron of Drak Tauros
due to his distinguished service in battle, became a Druid around that
time. Gates was involved in the
Witch Hunts when they
were started by Lycurgus, where through possession of Nala he was compelled
to strike down a
rampaging Midnight,
whose spirit was sent into Limbo for nearly a year. After the beginning
of the Third War of Westmarch, he
had become the fourth
Duke of the Lakelands. He soon stepped down from this position, though,
to answer the calling of Kala.
He is now the Archdruid
of Draconia, residing in the Great Temple of Soliath.
Lupus the Brewmaster
was a knight of Turin, the second Duke of the
Coast. With his great skills, he soon became the second
Baron of Drak Kalthorne.
In this capacity, he changed the industry of Drak Kalthorne from fishing
and shipping to the more
lucrative industry of
ale brewing. He was titled "Beer Baron of Draconia", and was then boosted
to become the fourth Duke of
the Coastlands.
Velera the Kind
was a Knight of the Coast for some time, until
her uncommon skill of outlasting Duke Lupus at his own
celebration feasts distinguished
her for something better. She became the Baroness of Drak Nineva as a result,
and ruled her
people with a kind and
even hand, thus gaining her her title. With the civil unrest in Nova Q'lynnesti,
and the death of Duke
Archen, the Emperor
requested that she leave her beloved Coastlands to become the Baroness
of Soliath. The Holy City was
pacified with her presence,
and the aristocracy was greatly pleased with the manner in which she handled
it. She was made the
fourth Duke of Nova
Q'lynnesti, and remained so for a short time until the wanderlust took
her away from Draconia. She has
since returned, and
has become the Duke of Dragonspire.
Hadin the Commander
began his career as a Knight of Dragonspire.
He was a mighty warrior who fought in the Sorceress war,
and became the Baron
of Dragonspire. Upon the invasion of Draconia by Westmarch, he was one
of the few aristocrats left
uncaptured, so he retreated
and began gathering an army in the north. He was the Lord-Marshal of Draconia
during this time,
the supreme commander
of the armies of the Empire. He lead the allied armies that helped to drive
Westmarch from the
Empire during this fell
time. Since this war, he had become the Duke of Dragonspire. However, Hadin
is a soldier at heart, so
he resigned from his
ducal position, and is attempting to restore the ancient Order of Bloodknights.
