Overview of the Lakelands

Situated around the Lake of Visions, the Lakelands is a land of grasslands and pleasant meadows, of gentle shorelines, and rugged foothills to the south. 
The two cities, Drak Lellwyn, and Drak Tauros, though close together, are as different as night and day. 
Drak Lellwyn is a city of culture and the arts, a friendly city, full of friendly people. 
The capital, however, Drak Tauros, is the base for the Southern Imperial Legion, and it is a city built for, and ruled by, the military. 
The city coordinates the efforts of the border castles in the southern mountains, and acts as one of the greatest blocks against the incursions against the armies of Westmarch. 
However, during the Draconian Revolution, many rebels fled to this area, depleting the warriors loyal to the Crown.

Many more are needed before the Lakelands are up to full strength again. 

Drak Lellwyn

The War with Westmarch left much of the city in Ruin, but the spirit of the citizens could not be quenched.
Since those Dark Days the city has called upon the finest Architects and Engineers of the Land to rebuild it to the glory it once knew as the Center of Culture and the Art. 
Situated next to the Lake of Visions, many claim to be a source of  inspiration, it has drawn many Artist, Poets, and Performers  until it has grown to be one of the Largest Cities of the Draconian Empire.
Perhaps it's most notable achievements is the Ministry of Culture which has pooled it's resources to construct the Museum of Art and History. The Museum is becoming well known for the Hall of Writings that has become the pride of Drak Lellwyn.

Built upon the Ruins of the Past the City of Drak Lellwyn looks to not only preserve the Heritage and Legends of the Past but to help Guide the Empire into the New Age.

Drak Tauros

Having withstood the onslaught of the Hordes of Westmarch, Drak Tauros is the center of Military Excellence.
The Southern most City of the Draconian Empire it stands as the first line of Defense against Westmarch.
After the exodus of many Rebel Knights and Soldiers following the Great War the Academy of Draconian Knights was founded where those who would become Knights to serve the Empire could be trained and tested. It is quickly becoming know for it Arena or Proving Grounds where the even the Finest Knights of the Empire are challenged to be at there best through Quest and Tournaments.

In recent years it has also stirved to hone the skills of Knights already serving the Empire knowing that the strength of the Empire is not determined by Quantity but Quality!

The Lake of Visions

The Largest body of Water in the Empire, the Lake of Visions could almost be considered a Sea.
Its crystal waters are much of what makes the Lakelands so green and fertile as well as providing abundant supplies of fish to and fresh water produce throughout the realm.

Though it is said to inspire many of the artisans of Drak Lellwyn, very little has been written about the Lake and it still holds many mysteries yet to be discovered.
The Sanctuary of Spirits has recently been built on the Southern Shore of the Lake near the recently discovered Isle of Dreams which the Mystic Order of Nala believe it is a natural focal point of arcane energies.
